Charles Warner is a native New Yorker. He was born and raised in Manhattan since the Spring of 1963.  At age 6, Charles started doodling and copying famous characters from Disney movies and Saturday morning cartoons.  As he grew older, he started developing characters and a style of his own.  Charles attended the High School of Art and Design in the heart of the design district in New York City. It was there that he majored in Illustration and started to develop his sense for design.  After high school he attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in Florida. He graduated with a degree in Advertising Design and returned to New York City in late 1983.  Mr. Warner has had a very diversified career in graphic design and art. From 1983 to 1994 he held various positions. He started as a graphic artist at the New York City Board of Education and advanced to Art Director for the American Red Cross in Greater New York. Between these two positions he worked for an advertising agency, a quality construction firm, developed a T-shirt business for himself and developed a base of freelance clients.  In October of 1994, Charles Warner moved to San Diego, CA to start a design business for himself. He made a partnership with a printer and formed Corp X Press Printing and Graphics.  During the late 90’s, a poor economy forced a lot of businesses to close and made it hard to find reliable clients. Charles decided to take a break from the business of design and became a certified Tennis Professional at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.  Charles has been a tennis professional since the Spring of 1999. This new career has allowed Charles to develop his creativity and sense of style even farther. He creates logos and identities for select businesses. He also combines his unique illustrative talent with design to create album covers for local recording artists.  Charles Warner’s illustrations are created with quality design markers, soft and hard artists pencils and a lot of love..
